Temporary Water Disruption At Panalaban Base Camp

Due to the current ongoing drought, there is a shortage of water supply at Panalaban Base Camp. The disruption might affect all accommodations, including Laban Rata Resthouse, Pendant Hut, Panalaban Hostel, and Lemaing Hut.
During this period, water usage will be restricted solely to drinking and facial washing, while shower facilities will remain closed until rainfall replenishes the water source.
Climbers are encouraged to bring wet wipes for personal hygiene maintenance while at Mount Kinabalu. Due to the cold climate, climbers will experience minimal perspiration, making a simple wipe-down sufficient to refresh yourself.
