LABAN RATA RESTHOUSE

The two-day journey up Mount Kinabalu displays the incredible backdrop of teeth and fangs, gully, precipice, cliff, plateau, gorge, peak, projectile, and points! Located at 3,272 metres above sea level, the Laban Rata resthouse offers climbers warm lodgings and hot meals before and after climbing to the peak of Mount Kinabalu.

The compound also consists of several smaller accommodation units such as Kinotoki Hostel, Mokodou Hostel and Lemaing Hostel (Malaysian Climbers only), and Pendant Hut (Via Ferrata Climbers only).

NOTE: After the 2015 earthquake, Gunting Lagadan Hut, Panar Laban Hut, and Waras Hut are no longer available as accommodations. Also, due to a cable damage in September 2009, all Laban Rata Dormitory Rooms and common bathrooms are now non-heated.

This accommodation is operated by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges (SSL).
