The State Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry will impose a higher conservation fee on Sabah Parks visitors starting 1st January 2023.

The Sabah Parks is the statutory body that manages Kinabalu Park, Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Crocker Range Park, Tawau Hills Park, Turtle Islands Park, Pulau Tiga Park, Tun Sakaran Marine Park, Sipadan Island Park, and Tun Mustapha Park.

This decision is made to overcome the increase of the park’s operational and management costs, as well as to be in line with Sabah Park’s vision to reach sustainable financing by the year 2025.
