Snorkeling is one of the easiest yet fun ways to see the underwater world. It is inexpensive and very popular as anybody can participate in this sport regardless of age, skill and physical fitness. There are various snorkeling programs available to cater for the non-swimmer, beginner, intermediate and advanced snorkeler.

• DAY 01
  Arrive In Kota Kinabalu / Check in Sutera Harbour Resort / Free & Easy

  • Warmest greetings at Kota Kinabalu Airport! Transfer to Kota Kinabalu city hotel.
  • After checking in to hotel, feel free to explore and enjoy the small rustic city and nightlife.

    You may opt to upgrade your package with an evening rendezvous on board the North Borneo Cruises for the best sunset view in town!
  • Overnight in Sutera Harbour Resort (The Pacific Sutera Hotel / The Magellan Sutera Resort).
• DAY 02
  Fun Boat Snorkelling + Island Visit

  • After breakfast, meet up in the designated pick up point, and depart to jetty for a day in the sun!
  • Upon arrival at the jetty, hop on to the boat and you will be whisked off for a 20 minutes ride to the first snorkeling point at the cluster of Islands that make up Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Commence your Snorkeling boat session, accompanied by our experienced Dive Master.
  • Proceed to the next Snorkeling point, for a chance to spot more exotic sea life in the beautiful Marine park. Spend a designated time snorkeling.
  • All the fun and relaxation will work up an appetite. Upon completion of the second snorkeling session, transfer to one of the TARPs island for lunch. Thereafter, free and easy to relax on golden shores, bask in the sunshine to earn that suntan or explore the short forest trail on your own. If you haven’t got enough of the life in the deep blue sea, snorkel from the shores to say hello to the colorful parade of fishes that reign the underwater world.
  • In the mid afternoon, pack up and take the boat transfer back to mainland, and drop off at designated point.

Things You Should Know

• While the jellyfish season varies, it usually occurs during mid of the year or/and end of the year. Do be extra careful and inform our guides should you be stung. Rest assured that our guides are first aid trained.
• Jelly bugs are common in the waters but they are usually harmless and their stings will just cause some slight itch.
• There are no lockers on the island. Please take good care of your own belongings and do not bring valuables.

Useful Travel Tips

• Your belongings may get wet. You can bring along waterproof bags such as dry bags or plastic bags to keep your belongings nice and dry!
• Before going out for some fun in the sun, you may bring along some SPF50 sunscreen and an umbrella to protect your skin.
• For any Island tour, if there is any extra water sports you opt to add on to your tour (ie banana boat, seawalking, parasailing, etc), be sure to bring along a little bit of extra cash as these activities are not included in our tour package.
