  • 5D4N Mount Kinabalu 4 Peaks Adventure (For Experienced Climbers) - Day 1

    Kota Kinabalu / Kundasang / Kinabalu Park HQ (Dinner)

    • Pick-up from Kota Kinabalu and transfer to Kinabalu Park (approx. 2.5 hours).
    • Upon arrival, submit your passport, signed medical form, name list, and indemnity form at Park HQ.
    • Check in to accommodation at Kinabalu Park or a nearby Kundasang mountain lodge.
    • Rest and acclimatise in the cool highlands before your climb.
  • 5D4N Mount Kinabalu 4 Peaks Adventure (For Experienced Climbers) - Day 2

    Kinabalu Park HQ / Timpohon Gate / Panalaban Base Camp (Breakfast / Packed Lunch / Dinner)

    • Register at Kinabalu Park HQ (07:30–09:00hrs), followed by a safety briefing.
    • Transfer to Timpohon Gate and begin your ascent through mossy rainforest and montane forest.
    • A ready-to-go packed meal will be provided for you to enjoy during the trek.
    • Reach Panalaban Base Camp by 15:00hrs (cut-off time).
    • If weather permits, do a short acclimatisation hike to the First Viewpoint (3,300m).
    • Return to Panalaban for dinner and overnight rest.
  • 5D4N Mount Kinabalu 4 Peaks Adventure (For Experienced Climbers) - Day 3

    Low’s Peak / Gurkha Hut / Oyayubi Iwu Peak (Supper / Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

    • Breakfast at Laban Rata Restaurant.
    • Start your summit push at 07:00–08:00hrs to Low’s Peak (4,095.2m) for a spectacular sunrise above the clouds. (ETA: 10:00–11:00hrs)
    • Enjoy a packed lunch before proceeding onwards to Gurkha Hut, about 45 minutes away.
    • After settling in, ascend to Oyayubi Iwu Peak (~4,000m), about 1–1.5 hours away.
    • Return to Gurkha Hut for dinner and overnight.
  • 5D4N Mount Kinabalu 4 Peaks Adventure (For Experienced Climbers) - Day 4

    Alexandra Peak / Victoria Peak / Gurkha Hut (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

    • After breakfast and a safety briefing, climb to Alexandra Peak (3,997.5m), approximately 2–3 hours to reach.
    • Return to Gurkha Hut for lunch and recovery.
    • In the afternoon, begin your final summit to Victoria Peak (4,090m), which should also take about 2–3 hours to reach.
    • Return to Gurkha Hut by evening for dinner and your second night at high altitude.
  • 5D4N Mount Kinabalu 4 Peaks Adventure (For Experienced Climbers) - Day 5

    Descent to Panalaban / Timpohon Gate / Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast / Lunch)

    • Breakfast and descend to Panalaban Base Camp by 11:30hrs for lunch.
    • Continue your descent to Timpohon Gate (ETA ~16:00hrs).
    • Transfer to Kinabalu Park HQ for your certificates before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

Types of Mount Kinabalu Climbers Certificate:

Climber Eligibility Requirements:

All climbers must meet the following criteria to join this advanced expedition:

  • Aged 18 years and above; must be physically able and non-disabled
  • Must complete a medical check-up and receive clearance from a certified medical officer
  • Must stay at Kinabalu Park or nearby accommodation the night before the climb
  • Must have a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Must complete a climb above 2,000m within 1 month before your Kinabalu climb date (Maragang Hill add-on available)

Before Your Climb:

  • Submit proof of your qualifying 2,000m climb (e.g., Maragang Hill certificate)
  • Present all required documents and medical clearance upon arrival at Kinabalu Park HQ
  • Submit your completed Climber Indemnity Form upon check-in at Park HQ

During Your Climb:

  • Reach key checkpoints within the required cut-off times
  • Pass oxygen saturation checks to ensure altitude readiness
  • Follow Leave No Trace practices – pack out all your trash

Things You Should Prepare For Mountain Climb:

  • Dry bag / Waterproof backpack
  • Trekking or running shoe with good grip
  • Warm clothing / Long sleeves shirt / Hiking pants
  • Jacket / Wind breaker

  • Hand gloves and winter hat

  • Refillable water bottle (0.5 – 1 Litre)

(Note: Your extra luggage can be stored at Kinabalu Park HQ at a nominal fee of RM15 per piece prior climb.)

About Climb Transport Arrangements

  1. Our friendly guide will meet you at your hotel lobby / greet you at the Airport arrival hall with a placard bearing your good name. Should you encounter difficulties in locating our guide, you can call our hotline number/s stated in your itinerary for further assistance.
  2. We do not recommend climbers to catch your flight on the same day you descend the mountain due to possible delay from injuries, tiredness and/or bad weather and traffic conditions.
  3. Additional charges of MYR 80 per pax are applicable for outskirt hotels pick-ups. OutSkirt Charges are applicable for Hotels in One Borneo, Putatan, and within 20km radius of Kota Kinabalu City Centre.
  4. All transportations are based on Seat-In-Coach. This is a transfer service in which clients share their vehicle with other clients. This is a door-to-door service with multiple pickups & drop-offs throughout the journey. Do expect some short waiting time.
  5. After descending to Kinabalu Park HQ, climbers are subject to pre-determined pickup time set by Amazing Borneo Tours with the last transport returning to Kota Kinabalu city latest by 1930hrs. We will ensure your possible wait of not more than 2 hours at Park HQ. However, if you missed the last transport (which is unlikely) or wish to depart at your own preferred timing, we can arrange a vehicle for private transfer for you (Subject to availability). Please understand that the surcharge for any private transfer will have to be borne by you.
  6. Private Transfer Surcharge:- MYR 450/vehicle/way
  7. Our group rates are quoted without deviation, which means we provide only one return transfers for your group. If your group requires more than one return transfers, additional transfer charges may apply.

Important Note:

  1. This is a physically demanding expedition recommended only for experienced climbers with a high level of fitness. A medical check-up and official clearance are required before the climb.
  2. Daily permits are limited to 12 climbers – early booking is strongly advised.
  3. All climbers must submit a completed Climber Indemnity Form before the expedition begins.
  4. Summit attempts are weather- and trail-dependent; itinerary is subject to change due to operational or environmental factors.
  5. Meals and accommodations are basic, with up to two nights of camping in cold, high-altitude conditions.
  6. Meals at Gurkha Hut are self-cooked using basic ingredients provided; additional supplies are available at extra cost.
  7. There is no filtered water at Gurkha Hut – bring your own or use water purification tablets.
  8. No refunds will be issued if climbers fail to meet pre-climb or on-expedition requirements.
  9. Special meal requests may incur extra charges.
  10. Porter service for personal belongings, personal insurance, alcoholic drinks, and airfare are not included.
  11. Day 1 accommodation is on a Run-Of-House (ROH) basis, with a private twin-share room arranged within Kinabalu Park HQ or Kundasang mountain lodge based on availability at check-in.
  12. Private vehicle transfers are available on request with a top-up charge.
  13. Climbers arriving at Timpohon Gate after 16:30 Hrs will be charged MYR 15/hour per guide, payable directly to the mountain guide.
  14. All climbers must present their MyKad (Malaysians) or passport (non-Malaysians) during registration at Kinabalu Park HQ.
  15. A Tourism Tax (TTx) of MYR 10 per room per night applies to foreign guests and is payable upon check-in. Malaysians are exempt with valid ID.

Friendly Note From Sabah Parks:
All climbers are required to have themselves medically checked before embarking on this expedition. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart disease, severe anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
